What inspired it, and can you tell us a bit about the striking ‘one eye blind’ detail to each portrait? I’m very much fascinated by the feminist riot-grrl movement from the 90’s, and all the strong female personalities from that era.

The Thalia dress is casual, Esra is a Norwegian freelance illustrator based in Oslo. She has been drawing since she was little, and has formal training from The Einar Granum School of Art, and a BA in Visual Communication from The Academy of The Arts in Oslo, Norway.

Esra Rosie @esrarois. Esra Rosie Esra Røise has always loved the preciseness of the pencil and the unpredictability and possibilities of watercolor and ink. She enjoys the juxtaposition of the analogue and digital combined, although she always tries to maintain an analog starting point.

The women's style of the Her work incorporates both graphite and watercolor, and her hyper-realistic images are rendered in a fresh, loose style that is both charming and aesthetically pleasing. Røise finds inspiration in small, “unimportant everyday situations,” snapshots, “awkward moments,” and imperfections.
